Maria Chiantello ~ Director of Operations

Maria is a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington. She holds a degree in Psychology and Business. She began working in the field of people with intellectual disabilities and autism as a Direct Support Professional over 20 years ago. Maria began her career working in group homes, eventually becoming a QMRP. When Waiver Services were piloted in the state of Indiana, Maria began working as a manager in Waiver services. Maria then spent several years working in the Waiver Case Management field. Case Management allowed her the opportunity to coordinate and monitor several types of Waiver services first hand. Spectrum Community Services of Indiana has allowed Maria the opportunity to combine her love for supporting people to become more independent to realizing that independence. She is thrilled to continue to have the opportunity to be a part of individuals realizing their dreams in their day to day lives.

Marcus Jacobs ~ Behavior Specialist
|
|
Marcus Jacobs is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. He is a certified drug and alcohol counselor and has 22-years experience in Mental Health with dual-diagnosis populations. He began working in-patient psychiatric setting working with all ages and then ran a Partial Hospitalization Program for the same hospital. He was in private practice for a year and then experienced community based counseling for 6-years. From community based counseling he transitioned to working with pre-adolescent and adolescent females in a locked facility before coming to Spectrum as a Behavioral Specialist. He utilizes his diverse experiences to serve individuals with a person centered holistic transpersonal eclectic approach. He has an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice, a triple major Bachelor’s Degree from Indiana University and a Master of Social Work from LaSalle University.

Aisha Sabur-Jarvis ~ Quality Assurance and Training Coordinator

Aisha Sabur-Jarvis, was born and raised in Berkeley, California. She attended public and private schools in the Bay Area before graduating in 1985 from the University of California, Berkeley with an undergraduate degree in Public Administration. She joined the U.S. Peace Corps upon completing her undergraduate studies and lived in Nouakchott, Mauritania West Africa serving as a Community and Agricultural Extentionist. She is a certified grant writer and holds a Masters Degree in Management of Communication and Motivation.
Upon returning to the United States she has amassed an array of professional experiences. She has worked as an Eligibility Worker, Family Preservation Social Worker, Children’s Protective Services Investigator, Program Director of a homeless services agency, Program director for Big Sister’s of Central Indiana, Job Developer for the Indianapolis Urban League and Goodwill of Central Indiana, Director of Career Services and instructor of English and Business Communications at a local college

Andrea Szabo ~ Music Therapist

Andrea Szabo, MT-BC, joined the Spectrum team in March 2009 as Music Therapist at the Crown Point office. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois. She then went on to complete her music therapy internship with The Institute for Therapy Through the Arts in Evanston, Illinois. After completing her internship, she moved to Arizona for a brief period to work with children with developmental disabilities. Andrea has recently moved back to the Midwest and is excited to be a part of our music therapy team. She brings experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, visual impairments, traumatic brain injury, Alzheimer’s, dementia, and behavioral/emotional disorders.

Tisha Harman ~ Health Care Coordinator

Tisha's first job in the nursing field was at Blanchard Valley Center in Findlay, Ohio. Tisha was one of a team of nurses responsible for the health care needs of the adult residents living there with developmental disabilities. Tisha knew immediately this was the field Tisha wanted to stay in. However, after 18 months, my husband’s employment relocated to Indiana. Since moving to Indiana, Tisha worked in a nursing home and a treatment facility for at-risk adolescent girls. It was when the treatment facility closed that Tisha heard of Spectrum. Tisha was instantly excited about the position. Tisha is thrilled to have another opportunity to work in this field and look forward to being part of a team helping achieve the goals of our clients.

Alicia Hickman ~ Program Coordinator ~ ESN Group Home

Alicia Hickman joined the Spectrum team in June 2008 as House Manager at Spectrum’s Greenview home. In July 2008 Alicia became the Program Director for the ESN Group Homes. She completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. Alicia has over five years experience working with individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities, mental health disorders, traumatic brain injury, Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Marcia Brower ~ ESN Group Home Manager

Marcia Brower has worked for Spectrum for a year and a half. Her interest in the field started in when a close family member suffered from a TBI in 2006. Marcia has an Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and is currently working toward a Master's Degree in Health Administration. Marcia's sees herself staying in the profession for years to come and growing with the need for our services.

Robyn Harker ~ Director of Human Resources

Robyn earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Indiana University in 2002, and her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Strategic Management degree from Davenport University in 2004. She gained experience in human resources while working for an international staffing agency. Robyn came to Spectrum Community Services of Indiana, LLC, in 2008 knowing that she could not only continue the career she loves, but also have the opportunity to enrich the lives’ of others through her work.

Kevin Hammonds ~ Human Resource Specialist ~ Central Region
|

Kevin earned his BA in Psychology from Wabash College in 1998, and his Master's Degree in Human Resource Management from Keller Graduate School in 2001. He started his HR career with the Indiana Department of Corrections, and then Family and Social Services Administration's Central HR office.
Kevin moved on to the HR department at a manufacturing and construction company, where he has spent the last four years. Kevin's continued interest in service-oriented organizations brought him to Spectrum, and he is excited about the opportunity to continue a career providing support to those who help others.
